Every year about this time, I set aside a few days to create personal, spiritual and financial goals. I enjoy seeing my plans, color-coded of course, spread before me. The process gives me a sense of purpose and during those few days, everything feels possible, no matter how big!
In doing this annually, I’ve learned the importance and the benefits of searching God’s word and inviting His wisdom into the process of planning and goal-setting. I’m reminded of God’s admonishment in Proverbs 19:21, “There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.”
God’s word contains the ultimate answers for every facet of our lives, even in business! By praying and consulting the scriptures I put myself, my family and my business in a position to grow and glorify God.
Last year, I set a goal for my business to generate regular monthly income, enabling me to tithe consistently to my home church. This year, God blessed my business and allowed me to meet that goal!
